Personal training in Honolulu.

The strength work that keeps the pain from coming back, coached by people who already know your injury history.

What It Is

Where rehab ends, this keeps going.

Most people finish therapy feeling good, then slowly drift back to whatever they were doing when it started. A few months later the same thing hurts again. Nothing went wrong. The work just stopped.

Personal training here is the fourth phase, Prevent, kept going. Whoever is coaching you already knows which knee it was, what set it off, and what your plan was built to protect. That is the difference between training and training around an injury you have already had.

Dr. Cindy Oania, DPT, OCS, PWCE, CPT, who owns the clinic, is a certified personal trainer as well as a physical therapist. The training is built on the same cause-first thinking as the therapy, not a template handed to whoever walks in.

Questions, Answered

Personal training, no mystery.

No. You can train here without ever having been a patient. If you have been treated here, your training picks up where the plan left off, with people who already know the history. If you have not, we start by finding out what your body can do right now.

You do not have to be. The point is the ordinary stuff: carrying groceries up the stairs, getting through a shift on your feet, picking a kid up without bracing for it first. Strength is what makes those stop being a question. We start where you are, not where a program says you should be.

Training is not medical care, so it is not billed the way a therapy visit is. On the therapy side we bill insurance and coordinate with your doctor and your insurance company. For training, call us at (808) 597-1555 and we will walk you through how it works before you commit to anything.
