You say where it hurts and what your week demands.
Hands-on work from a licensed massage therapist, aimed at the same thing your plan is aimed at: tissue that moves again, so the rest of the work holds.
What It Is
Massage therapy here is delivered by Dustin Tanabe, LMT, a licensed massage therapist trained at the University of Hawaiʻi KCC. He is a massage therapist, not a physical therapist, and that is exactly the value: soft tissue is his whole craft, not a five-minute warm-up before something else.
Tight tissue changes how you move. When a muscle will not lengthen, the joint above it borrows the motion, and that borrowed motion is often where the pain finally shows up. Hands-on work gives that tissue somewhere to go, which is what makes the strength work stick.
It is on the sign, too. The clinic logo reads Physical Therapy & Massage, because this has always been part of how the practice treats people. If you are already on a rehab plan, massage supports it. If you are not, it stands on its own.
Licensed, and part of the plan
What It Helps
When tissue stays tight, everything above and below it starts compensating. That is usually what brings people in.

Hands-on work on the tissue that is limiting you.

What to do with it before the next one.
Why It Works
Tissue that moves lets the strength work stick.
A licensed massage therapist, not a side service.
Lined up with what your therapy is doing.
Worth booking on its own, too.

It is a clinical one, and that is a difference of purpose, not of quality. Dustin Tanabe, LMT, works on the tissue that is limiting how you move, and what he does lines up with what the rest of your care is trying to change. You can still walk out relaxed. That is just not the only thing we are aiming at.
No. Massage here is open to people on a rehab plan and people who are not. If you are already a patient, your session lines up with what your physical therapist is working on. If you are not, you get the same licensed massage therapist and the same hands-on work.
That depends on your plan, and we would rather check than promise. We bill insurance and we coordinate with your doctor and your insurance company, and coverage for massage is not the same from plan to plan. Call us at (808) 597-1555 and we will help you find out where you stand before you book.
